Other Immediate Concerns
● Active Current flood risk is spring runoff, increasing streamflows, and snowmelt. Some reported flood-related landslides being monitored.
- UDOT is monitoring roadway bridges and structures that may be more susceptible to high water flows, due to design or existing conditions, partners should keep an eye out for the following:
- Embankment slopes are still in place around abutment and the approach roadway to the structure to ensure the water has not washed out the embankment supporting the roadway.
- Significant settlement of the bridge.
- The upstream opening or channel directly upstream does not have any debris caught on the structure or any that can impede future flood water flowing through the structure or reduce the waterway.
- Debris or mud on the top of the structure that suggests the water overtopped the structure.
- Any other part of the bridge that looks off or different than what you are used to.
