Weber State Police Officers hit on I-15
On December 15, 2021, at approximately 1241 hours, two Weber State University police officers stopped to assist a passenger van that was blocking the HOV lane at 700 South I-15 southbound. The second van continued on the left shoulder and hit a third car that was stopped on the shoulder.
Both officers were transported to a local hospital, one with minor injuries and the other with seriuos but not life threatening. No other injuries were reported. All traffic was stopped for approximately 15 minutes. I-15 southbound was diverted onto I-80 westbound for about an hour during the investigation.
