Utah Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Coalition’s Live Crash Demonstration

What:  The Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), and first responders from public and private agencies have joined together to form Utah’s first Traffic Incident Management Coalition (TIM). The TIM Coalition will provide a live crash response demonstration highlighting the new and improved multi-agency response to crashes/incidents, demonstrating drone use in investigations, and focusing on safe & quick clearance techniques. 

The goal of the Coalition is to focus multiagency, multidiscipline attention on training together to reduce secondary crashes and, save lives of first responders such as law enforcement, fire, towing companies, department of transportation employees and others that risk their lives every day in harm’s way while managing traffic during a crash, construction, work zone, or maintenance activities.  

When: Thursday, May 13th 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Where: Utah Driver License Division Driving Course

The course is just north of the parking lot of the office

Who: Utah Highway Patrol Troopers
Fire and EMS
UDOT Incident Management Teams
Towing Personnel
Visuals: 
A staged crash with an overturned vehicle
Emergency vehicles and first responders will simulate a response to the crash
