Utah Highway Patrol Swearing In Ceremony

Commissioner Anderson administered the oath of office for the 12 newest UHP Troopers.

The new troopers stand on the steps inside the Utah state capitol building with administration.

On Thursday, September 26th, the 12 newest members of the Utah Highway Patrol graduated from Police Officer Standards and Training and then were sworn in at the Utah State Capitol.

Commissioner Anderson then administered the oath of office to the new Troopers.

Earlier in the day at the POST graduation ceremony, new Trooper Nielson sang the national anthem.

And new Trooper McCampbell received the Outstanding Achiever Award, which is presented by the Utah Police Officers Association.

The new Troopers started their in-house academy on Monday, September 30th and are expected to hit the road for their Field Training on November 9th.
