Uintah County Fatal Crash (Updated)

Tuesday November 29, 2022

 On Monday, November 28, 2022, at about 7:53 pm, a 2011 Dodge 2500 pickup truck was traveling East on SR-40. The weather conditions were snowing with blowing winds and iced-over roads. Near milepost 138, the 43-year-old female driver lost control, ran off the road to the right, and overturned multiple times. The driver was ejected from the vehicle, and the 47-year-old male passenger was pinned. The driver and passenger were transported to the hospital via ambulance. We were notified the driver had died from her injuries a short time later. Both occupants appeared to be wearing their seatbelts, and no impairment is suspected.
