UHP Investigate a Motorcyclist Fatal in Logan Canyon

Saturday September 4, 2021

At approximately 12:16pm a northbound motorcycle ridden by a single male in his late fifties failed to negotiate a curve at mile 471 on US 89 in Logan Canyon. The motorcycle was laid down in on coming traffic, shortly after the motorcycle was struck by a truck towing a trailer with cattle onboard, the motorcyclist was struck by the trailer. The motorcyclist died at the scene, no one else was hurt in the accident. The road was reopened at approximately 3:30pm.

The deceased has been identified as Bradley L Goertzen, 59, of Midvale, Utah.
