SR-20 Fatal Crash
On Saturday, April 30, 2022, at approximately 2:10 pm, a motorcyclist (Black 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000) was traveling east on SR 20 near mm 11 in the right of two lanes. There is a sharp, down hill, left hand corner at this location and the motorcyclist was unable to negotiate the curve. The motorcycle left the roadway to the right and tipped on it side sliding into the guard rail. The driver, 56 year old male, became separated from the motorcycle and also hit the guardrail. He was wearing a helmet but died on scene from injuries sustained. lanes were closed for about an hour during the investigation.
