Sevier County Fatal Crash (Updated)
On Monday, April 22, 2024, at about 4:08 pm, a UTV was traveling North on Richfield Main Street at the intersection with 1100 South. A 2013 Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound near the same intersection. The driver of the UTV made a left hand turn in front of the Elantra at 1100 South. The Elantra struck the UTV broadside causing the vehicle to roll. The 54-year-old male driver of the UTV was not restrained and was ejected. The driver died from his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital. A pregnant female passenger in the Elantra was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Main St. was closed from 1000 South to 1200 South during the crash investigation.
