Semi Truck Crash Eastbound SR 89, Garden City.

Friday June 2, 2023

On June 2, 2023, at 5:13 PM, a semi-tractor loaded with milk products was traveling eastbound into Garden City. At some point, the semi truck’s brakes quit working. The driver could not use the runaway ramp due to traffic and speed. The semi truck ran the light at SR 30 and SR 89 intersection. It traveled through an empty parking lot, a fence, storage sheds, and another parking lot and came to a rest when it hit a condo and a 1000-gallon propane tank. The driver has non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. The passenger was flown to a hospital with serious injuries.
