Salt Lake I-15 400 N Fatal

Thursday March 21, 2024

On March 21, 2024, at approximately 06:30 AM a white Chevy Silverado was traveling northbound on I-15 at 400 North in the southbound lanes. The Chevy Silverado crashed into a white bus traveling southbound in the HOV lane. The driver of the bus suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the Chevy Silverado, 46 year old Male from Riverton, suffered fatal injuries on scene. The Utah Highway Patrol in partner ship with the State Bureau of Investigations are still investigating why the driver was traveling the wrong way.

Southbound I-15 is closed at 600 North. We advise drivers to plan ahead and use alternative routes.

The driver of the truck has been identified as Jason Musnug, 46, of Herriman, UT.
