Salt Lake County Fatal (Updated 5/17/24)
On Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 10:27 am, a white Chevy Malibu, traveling eastbound on SR-201, at 3600 West, slowed down and came to a stop, in the left lane, due to a tire that blew out. The female driver got out of the vehicle and walked to the back of the vehicle. While standing at the back of the vehicle, a red Honda Odyssey, traveling in the left lane, came up behind and hit the female pedestrian. The pedestrian died on scene. Eastbound SR-201 traffic has been diverted onto Bangerter Highway.
