Rich County Fatal Crash (Updated)
On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at about 6:06 am, a black Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on SR-30 near Sage Creek Junction. A gold Buick Century was traveling eastbound on SR-30 near the same location. Just west of milepost 130 and for an unknown reason, the Toyota crossed the centerline into the eastbound lane and struck the Buick head-on. Both drivers sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. The driver of the Toyota had his seat belt buckled, but he was sitting on it and not wearing it. Lane closures were in place for about 5 hours during the investigation.
