Motorcycle crash in Wayne County goes fatal. (updated)

On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at about 2:33 pm, a single rider on a Victory motorcycle was traveling North on SR-12 near milepost 111. The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and the motorcycle went off an embankment. As the motorcycle went off, the driver was thrown and impacted a large pile of boulders.  He was transported from the scene via medical helicopter in stable condition. UHP was later notified that the 54-year-old male driver passed away that evening at the hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash. There was minimal traffic impact during the accident investigation.
