Major Crash on I-15 SB in Springville

DPS Incident Notification 7634 (Crash – Other / Initial Information / Sent: 12-05-2019 17:04) Section: 6 // District: A Date: 12-05-2019 Time: 16:10 Location: I-15 Springville Mile Post: 259 Travel Direction: South Inv. Agency: UHP Initial Description:A pickup ran out of gas and stopped on the left shoulder, and the occupants arranged for a ride share to pick them up. The ride share arrived but on the opposite side of the freeway. The driver cut across all lanes and was struck almost broadside by a pickup in the HOV lane. The ride share vehicle overturned and came to rest on its top in lane 2. A semi with a single box trailer slowed suddenly in lane 2 and was struck from behind by a semi with double dump trailers. A second pickup took evasive action and made contact with one of the dump trailers. The ride share driver was the only one to receive injuries, they were minor.
