Legacy Highway Wrong Way Fatal (Updated)
On Sunday March 17, 2024, at approximately 0630 hours, a wrong-way driver was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Legacy Highway at mile post 3. The wrong way driver was traveling in a red Toyota Camry. The wrong-way driver crashed into a red Chevy Cruze traveling northbound with two occupants inside. A 27 year old male passenger in the Chevy Cruze suffered fatal injuries. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to the hospital in stable conditions.

Alcohol is being investigated as a factor in this crash. Charges are being screened through the county attorney’s office.
