Utah Driver License and Identification Cards Get a New Design To Help Prevent Fraud and Protect Identities

WHAT: Starting in June 2021, the Department of Public Safety’s Driver License Division will begin its statewide implementation of a new, more secure driver license and identification card design. Utah’s new design advances fraud protection measures compared to the old design and improves the security of the physical license. DPS Commissioner Jess L. Anderson will announce the launch of the new design to help ensure Utahns and relying parties are aware of the change.
