Juab County Fatal Crash (updated)

Monday February 27, 2023

On Monday, February 27, 2023, at about 9:47 am, a black Hyundai Sonata was traveling eastbound on SR-132 west of Nephi. The road at this location was slushy. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle lost control and spun into the westbound lane. A blue Peterbilt semi pulling two empty pneumatic trailers was westbound at that location. The semi-driver attempted to avoid the Sonata but was unable to. The Sonata struck the right front of the semi as it tried to move left to avoid the collision. The Sonata went off the north side of the road and spun to a stop. The semi traveled off the south shoulder and stopped. The 35-year-old female driver of the Sonata was killed on impact. The semi-driver was shaken up but otherwise uninjured.  The westbound lane was closed, but one-way traffic was established.

Hyundai driver (Fatal): Taysia K Fish. Age 35. From: Leamington, UT
