I-15 SB Ramp to EB I-80 Closed Due to Semi Fire
A tractor trailer hauling frozen food was southbound on I-15 connecting eastbound I-80. The driver lost control, the tractor trailer impacted the right cement barrier and caught on fire. The driver and co-driver were able to exit the tractor before it became fully engulfed in flames. The tractor is a total loss. Eastbound I-80 at southbound I-15 is closed and the southbound collector ramp to eastbound I-80 is closed. The fire is now out. After a lengthy clean up process, crews expect to have the ramps reopened shortly after 9 a.m.
