High winds blow over multiple semi’s in Tooele County

Monday October 25, 2021

On Monday October 5, 2021 at about 10:00 am, high winds blew over multiple semi’s between mileposts 78 to 81 eastbound and westbound. Only minor injuries are being reported as a result of those crashes. Lane restriction between those locations are in place due to blocking vehicles but normal traffic is getting through the area. High profile vehicle are being encouraged to stop and wait out the wind between mileposts 1 to 99. Westbound, high profile vehicles are being stopped at milepost 99 and milepost 84. Eastbound, high profile vehicles are being stopped near milepost 78. No hazmat issues are being reported.
