Fatal in Beaver on I-15

Friday January 8, 2021

At approximately 5:22 PM on Friday, January 8, a white Honda passenger car was traveling west on 300 North in Beaver, Utah at a high rate of speed. The Honda failed to at stop at the T intersection east of I-15. The Honda blew through the fence, up the hill and onto northbound I-15. A white Ford van was northbound on I-15. The Ford collided with the Honda on I-15 causing fatal injuries to the driver of the Honda. Two male occupants, in their early twenties, of the Ford were taken to the Beaver Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The only occupant of the Honda was the driver, a female in her late twenties from California. The male occupants of the Ford are from Utah County. All three persons were seat belted. UHP has one of two lanes open with little congestion, both lanes should be open by 10 PM. Use caution in the area until UHP finishes their investigation.
