Fatal Crash US-191 Milepost 123
(Moab, Ut) – On Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at approximately 3:25 PM a gray Subaru Outback was traveling northbound at mile 123 on SR-191 (just south of Moab city limits). For a unknown reason the 17 year old female driver drifted into the southbound lane and impacted a 3500 Ram pickup towing a gooseneck trailer with another pickup on the trailer.
The Subaru impacted the left rear of the Ram pickup and front left side of the trailer with its front driver’s and driver’s side. The female driver of the Subaru received fatal injuries from the impact. The male passenger of the Subaru and male driver of the Ram pickup were transported to a local hospital with non-life treating injuries.
The driver has been identified as Elexa G Vanarsdol, 17, from Moab.
