Fatal Crash on SR-6 MM 194

Thursday October 4, 2018

Approximately 0710 hours, today’s date, a white passenger car was traveling westbound on SR-6 near milepost 195. Light rain was in the area at the time, but likely heavier rain had fallen as roads were wet and some standing water was present. Two vehicles were eastbound at the same location as the white passenger car began to spin, likely as a result of hydroplaning on the wet roads. The white passenger car crossed into eastbound traffic and was impacted on the passenger side by an eastbound SUV. The second eastbound vehicle slowed and was not involved. The driver of the white passenger car appears to have been killed on impact, and may not have been properly restrained at the time. The driver of the SUV was transported by Lifeflight in serious condition to UVRMC. No other vehicles or persons were involved.

The deceased driver of the white passenger car is Darren B Holt, age 55, out of Helper, Ut.
