Teens killed in crash on SR-56

Thursday November 4, 2021

On 11/04/2021 at approximately 0806, a pickup truck was traveling east on SR-56 near mile marker 15.  The pickup truck left the road to the left and struck the embankment of the cross street at 7200 West.  The pickup overturned several times ejecting all five juvenile occupants.  None of the five occupants were wearing their seat belts.  Two of the juveniles died on scene.  1) 17 year-old male, 1) 13 year-old female. Three were transported with various injuries. 1)15 year-old female in critical condition, 1) 16 year-old male driver in serious condition , 1 male in fair condition.  SBI and MCIT are assisting.
