Fatal Crash on SR-24 near Vermillion

Thursday October 22, 2020

At 11:42 am on October 22, 2020, a Geo Tracker was traveling south on SR-24 at MM 7 near the town of Vermillion in Sevier County. A Chevrolet pick-up was traveling north in the same area. The Chevrolet pick-up crossed the center-line and hit the Geo Tracker almost head-on. After the vehicles hit the Chevrolet pick-up rolled at least one time coming to a rest on its roof. The driver of the Geo Tracker was not wearing a seatbelt and died instantly. The driver of the Chevrolet pick-up was wearing a seatbelt and had only minor injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet pick-up is cooperating with State Troopers and impairment is not suspected. This is still an active and ongoing investigation.

The deceased driver of the Geo Tracker is Jerry V Julander, age 83, of Monroe, UT.
