Fatal Crash on SR-191 at Mile Post 258

On Thursday, May 26, 2022 at approximately 1700 hours, Three motorcycles were traveling north on SR-191 nearing the 258 MM.  This area of the canyon contains several S-turns.  The rider of Vehicle no.1 had a motorcycle learner permit and did not have a lot of experience driving a motorcycle. 

As she entered one of the turns, she failed to navigate a turn, striking the guardrail.  The female rider was thrown from the motorcycle over the guardrail.  The Helper City Police Chief was first to arrive on scene where he began life saving measures.  The female rider died on scene.
