Fatal Crash on SR-12 at Mile Post 11 (Update 2)
Update: UHP was notified that the 61-year-old female passenger from this crash passed away on 5-31-2022.
On May 30, 2022, at 0945 hours, A Harley-Davidson motorcycle occupied by two was traveling West on SR-12 near milepost 11. An antelope jumped in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the antelope and lost control causing both occupants to be fully ejected.
The male driver sustained fatal injuries at the scene, and the passenger was taken by ambulance and then flown to a local hospital in extremely critical condition. Helmets were worn by both occupants but heavily damaged.
