Fatal Crash on Legacy Highway in Davis County

Tuesday February 8, 2022

On Tuesday February 8, 2022, at about 8:09 am, a White Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound on Legacy Highway at approximately Mile Marker 10.  For reasons yet to be determined, the Hyundai went off the left shoulder through the median. The Hyundai spun into the northbound lanes where it was struck by a white Dodge Ram 3500 Truck who was traveling in the left lane.  The collision spun the Elantra back into the median and the Dodge stopped in the Northbound left lane. The 24 year old sole occupant driver in the Hyundai was ejected on impact and died at the scene.  The 3 people in the Ram were treated for minor injuries and released by medical personnel.

Legacy Highway is closed both ways from Centerville to Park Lane and should re-open around noon.
