Fatal crash I-15 NB MM 227 near Nephi

Initial Description:
At 1218 hrs, UHP was notified of a crash on I-15 northbound near mile marker 227. A crew cab GMC truck was pulling a bumper pull camp trailer, which was pulling a Toyota Camry. The trailer was heavily loaded with belongings along with a Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Due to the speed and load configuration, the truck began to sway, the driver lost control and ran off the road, first to the right and then into the median. The male driver sustained head and neck injuries and died as a result of the crash. The female front seat passenger was transported to Central Valley Medical Center and is in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. Both occupants were wearing seat-belts.

The deceased driver is Peter D Morkert, age 72, of Thompson Falls, MT
