Fatal collision on SR-55 in Price. (Pictures)

On Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at about 9:51 pm,    a 2023 white Freightliner with a box trailer was eastbound on 100 North approaching SR-55(Main Street) intersection in Price City.  A white 2020 Toyota Camry was southbound on SR-55(Main Street) and failed to stop at the red light.  The Camry was hit broadside on the vehicle’s passenger side by the Freightliner.  Lifesaving efforts were attempted on scene but were unsuccessful and the 26-year-old male driver of the Camry died on scene.  The driver of the Freightliner and passenger that was in the sleeper berth, both received minor injuries and were not transported.   Impairment is being investigated as a possible contributor in this collision. SR-55 was restricted for approximately 3 hours during the crash investigation and clean up.
