Driver dies after a motorcycle crash Saturday in Sevier County. (updated)

On Saturday, July 2, 2022, at about 10:05 am, a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling West on I-70 near MP 19. For reasons yet to be determined the bike left the roadway to the left and into the median. The driver lost control after a short distance and began to roll. The driver and bike rolled about 50 yards before coming to rest still in the median. The 52-year-old male driver suffered critical injuries and was transported to an area hospital. It does not appear that the driver was wearing a helmet. UHP was later notified that the driver at about 2:00 pm that same day.
