DPS Meets with Community Members at The Road Home

Thursday September 28, 2017

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) held a meeting with members of the community at The Road Home shelter in Salt Lake City.  This meeting was the second of a series of meetings scheduled at The Road Home. The goal of each community gathering is to answer questions and discuss any concerns regarding Operation Rio Grande.

This meeting was held inside the women’s section of the shelter downtown. Many of the community members said they are grateful the area is safer now and expressed their appreciation of the arrests of criminals in the area, and the continued law enforcement efforts underway.  The DPS’ State Bureau of Investigation,  the Department of Workforce Services, Road Home staff, members of the Salt Lake City Police Department, and DPS Commissioner Keith Squires also participated.
