Double fatal crash – Legacy Parkway MM 10

Initial Description:
On 10/19/2019 at 1128 hours a head on crash was dispatched at southbound Legacy Parkway at MM 11. A vehicle entered southbound traffic going northbound near Parrish Lane, preliminary investigation has determined the wrong way vehicle may have entered from Parrish Lane via the off-ramp. On Troopers’ arrival, two occupants, one from each vehicle were deceased. The driver from a Nissan Sentra was pinned in, later extricated, and flown to the hospital via air ambulance. The driver and a passenger of a Toyota Camry were transported to a hospital and are currently being treated. Southbound Legacy was shut down from about 1135 and was re-opened at 1631 hours.

10/21/2019 2:30 pm – Update: In the Nissan Sentra, the right front passenger, 19 year old, Gissell Enciso (Female), of West Valley City died as a result of the head-on collision. In the Toyota Camry, the left rear passenger, 38 year old, Destry R Hone (Male), of Spanish Fork died as a result of the collision.
