Details on a Triple Fatal Crash on SR-276 MM 83

Thursday July 2, 2020

On July 1, 2020, at approximately 2252 hours, the driver and two additional occupants were southbound on SR-276 near milepost 83 in a Toyota Tacoma when the driver swerved to the right causing the vehicle to drive off the shoulder of the road. The driver over-corrected to the left. This caused the vehicle to reenter the highway and roll multiple times off the northbound side of the road. All occupants were pronounced dead on the scene. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor for this crash. Another contributing factor is believed to be that the driver may have swerved to avoid a collision with a cow. This area is open range, and cattle were standing near the roadway upon arrival of emergency vehicles.

Update: The deceased driver of the Tacoma is Wayne C Palmer, age 32, of Blanding, Utah. The deceased passengers are Kyle R Bailey, age 30, and Parker W Palmer, age 30, both of Blanding, Utah.
