Initial Description:
A Blue Freightliner tractor-trailer was westbound on SR-6 near milepost 226 when it attempted to pass a slower tractor-trailer in a no-passing zone, on a grade, and on a corner. A red Ford F-350 was eastbound and impacted the tractor-trailer in a head-on type collision. The driver of the Ford died from injuries at the scene. SBI, UTIP, MCIT and the local county attorney have all been contacted and are assisting with the case. SR-6 is closed and traffic is being diverted onto Emma Park Road and SR-191.
The deceased driver is Baylan B Nelson,
Age: 22, of Huntington, UT.
Charges are pending on the driver of the semi.
