Blacksmith Fork Canyon Fatal (Updated)

At approximately 8:30 PM two motorcycles were traveling in opposite directions in Blacksmith Fork Canyon SR 101. The first motorcycle was a 2007 Blue Suzuki that was traveling eastbound. The second motorcycle was a 2004 white Kawasaki traveling westbound.

Witnesses explained that the Blue Suzuki was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. The driver of the Suzuki failed to maintain their lane and crossed into oncoming traffic where they struck leg to leg with the other motorcyclist. Both drivers were thrown from their bikes. The driver of the blue Suzuki, male age 26, suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the Kawasaki, male age 27, had non life threatening injuries.
