Initial Description:On 1/14/2020 at approximately 13:38 hours, Dispatch advised of a head on collision on SR-18 near milepost 15. A four door passenger car was traveling northbound and drifted over the centerline. A semi-truck pulling a side dump trailer was traveling southbound at the same time the passenger car drifted over the centerline. The left front corners of both vehicles impacted. This caused the passenger car to be forced off the northbound shoulder where it came to rest on all four tires facing to the northwest. The Semi continued southbound after the impact for several yards skidding to a stop on the northbound shoulder. The side dump trailer jackknifed and overturned blocking the northbound lane of travel. Despite life saving measures by medical personnel, the female driver and only occupant of the passenger car died on scene as a result of her injuries. The male driver and only occupant of the semi-truck was transported to a hospital in fair condition.

The deceased driver is Alyssa S Jenkins, age 30, from Santa Clara, UT.
