Additional Auto-ped Crashes

Wednesday June 8, 2022

On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at about 5:02 am, a 2018 Ford Transit work fan exited I-215 West northbound at 2100 North. Part way down the off-ramp, the driver felt something hit his vehicle but he did not see anything. The driver continued and noticed that he had damage to his vehicle so he came back to the scene and made contact with Troopers at the scene. Troopers are investigating the collision between the van and a 15-year-old female pedestrian. The female sustain serious but not life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. She was dressed in dark clothing that would have made it hard to see her. Investigators are currently trying to determine why the pedestrian was in the area and where she was going.
