Fatal Crash on SR-32 near Oakley
On March 28,2021 at approximately 1:24AM UHP Troopers responded to the scene of a single vehicle crash on SR 32 at the intersection with New Lane. A Subaru Legacy had ran off the roadway to the right where it struck an embankment. The vehicle became airborne where it then struck a large power pole before overturning and coming to rest off the roadway. The single male occupant was unrestrained, and ejected from the vehicle. The male was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is being investigated as a contributing factor in the crash.
The driver has been identified as Peter E Schrumpf, 58, from Oakley, UT.
