Stolen Vehicle Chase in Salt Lake Valley

April 5, at 4:30 pm (with information from Salt Lake Dispatch) UHP Troopers pursued a stolen vehicle eastbound on I-80, starting near the entrance of Parleys Canyon. The pursuit continued east into Summit County. The stolen vehicle, a blue 2018 Chrysler 300, turned back west at SR40. The pursuit continued west on I-80 and then north on I-15, reaching speeds at or over 100 mph. The Chrysler exited the freeway at 600 North in Salt Lake City, UHP Troopers did not pursue off the interstate. The Chrysler was found abandoned, a short time later, by a Salt Lake Police Officer. No one was injured and no property damage occurred during this event. The vehicle was stolen out of Salt Lake City, SLPD is handling the stolen vehicle investigation.
