Fatal Crash SR-191 MM 79
On 3/14/2019, at 07:17 hours, a black 4 door sedan with Colorado plates and two occupant was traveling southbound on SR-191 near mile marker 79 when it lost control and slid sideways into a northbound silver 4 door sedan with two occupants and Utah plates. Impact was made with the front of the silver sedan to the driver’s side area of the black sedan. The vehicles came to rest in the southbound lane of travel. All occupants were transported by ambulance to the San Juan Hospital in Monticello. The front passenger of the black sedan, Christine A Sours, age 69, of Grand Junction CO, was flown from San Juan Hospital to St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction Colorado. Troopers were advised this afternoon that Christine did not survive her injuries.
