Trooper Myer Update Feb 16, 2024

Friday February 16, 2024

The Utah Highway Patrol is providing an update on the condition of Trooper Steve Myer, who was injured February 13th. He currently remains in stable condition surrounded by family, friends, and colleagues.  He is currently navigating essential medical procedures in what will be a long road to recovery.

The Utah Highway Patrol extends its deepest appreciation for the overwhelming support received from the media, medical staff, colleagues, and the public. The outpouring of messages, offers of assistance, and kind gestures have been a source of great comfort to Trooper Myer and his family, as well as to the entire UHP team.

A charitable drive has been initiated to assist Trooper Myer and his family during this challenging time. A link to the drive can be found below.

The Utah Highway Patrol will continue to provide updates on Trooper Myer’s progress and appreciates the ongoing thoughts and prayers from all.

The Myer family has had multiple requests for interviews. Although deeply thankful for the continued support, they have asked privacy as they focus on the immediate efforts in Trooper Myers medical treatment.
