Wrong Way Fatal I-80 MM 119
On January 21, 2024, at approximately 04:15am, A red (Mazda 3) sedan entered wrong way on the 600 South off ramp and collided head on with a black SUV (Chevrolet Suburban) traveling eastbound (EB) I-80 ramp to southbound (SB) I-15, killing the female driver of the red sedan. It is believed the deceased female driver was not properly wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the black SUV was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. I-80 EB to I-15 SB ramp was shut down between aprx 4:15am – 8:00 am.
