Fatal Crash in Iron County from 8/10.

On Thursday, August 10, 2023, at about 5:21 am, a box truck rolled for an unknown reason on I-15 SB near MP 88 .  Due to the way the box truck rolled and blocked the southbound roadway, a second semi-tractor was unable to see the vehicle until the last moment.  The driver of the semi attempted to miss the box truck but was unable to.  The semi-tractor hit the cab of the box truck.  The driver of the box truck was killed on scene.  I-15 SB was completely shut down due to lane blockage.  The roadway was closed for several hours and traffic was rerouted to the frontage road.  UTIP was on scene and assisted, as both vehicles were commercial vehicles.
