I-80 Fatal Motorcycle Crash
On June 19, 2022 at approximately 1:13PM a motorcycle was traveling eastbound I-80 at milepost 100. For an unknown reason the motorcycle left the roadway and overturned. The rider of the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Troopers are investigating strong winds as a possible factor in the crash. It is unknown if the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash Following the initial crash there was a secondary crash involving two vehicles. Parties in the secondary crash received minor non life-threatening injuries.
