2022 Border to Border and Click It or Ticket Seat Belt Enforcement
The Utah Highway Patrol partnered with law enforcement agencies in neighboring states during the annual Click It or Ticket campaign. Officers from the different agencies gathered at their borders for photo shoots to emphasize their cooperative efforts. See the photos (and the short video from UHP and CSP) below!
Participating agencies took a no-excuses approach to seat belt law enforcement, writing citations day and night. In Utah, not wearing a seat belt is a primary offense and can result in a $45 fine.
However, the maximum penalty for not wearing a seat belt could be fatal.
