Fatal Accident I-15 NB MM 339 (Updated)

Friday March 18, 2022

On March 18, 2022, at approximately 1510 hours, a Hyundai passenger car was traveling on I-15 northbound near mile marker 339. Debris (believed to be a brake assembly) from the southbound side of the freeway went over the median and struck the Hyundai. The debris went through the windshield and struck the driver.  The vehicle went off the road to the left. No other vehicles were involved. The driver suffered fatal injuries as a result. The passenger in the car with him did not sustain any injuries. 

UHP is looking for the public’s assistance with any information that can help to identify where the debris came from. If anyone has information or dash camera video of that area, is asked to call the Weber County dispatch at 801-395-8221.
