US-89 fatal crash in Kane County
On Tuesday January 11, 2022 at approximately 6:00 pm, a black Honda Fit was traveling westbound on US-89 near milepost 19 when it left the roadway to the right. Closest town is Big Water UT. The vehicle overturned multiple times and came to rest in the center of the roadway. The 51 year old male driver from Kanab, Ut was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected. No impairment was suspected. Excessive speed is being investigated as a contributor. No other occupants or vehicles were involved.
