DPS Deploys Cutting Edge Crime Scene Technology
3-D technology like the FARO scanner are giving investigators the upper hand when it comes to analyzing crime scenes. Evidence gathering and documentation used to take hours, even days. Now it takes minutes. The FARO scanner allows DPS’ State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) agents to virtually return to the scene and collect data that wasn’t initially picked up on the day of an incident.
