Sgt. Pollard Crash details

On August 1, 2021, at about 5:34 am, Sergeant Pollard with the Utah Highway Patrol was investigating an abandoned vehicle in relation to another incident near 2800 South on I-215 West. While he was conducting his investigation another vehicle struck the rear of Sgt. Pollard’s patrol vehicle. Sgt. Pollard was seated in his vehicle at the time of the crash. Both he and the occupants of the other vehicle were all transported from the scene to local area hospitals. The West Valley City Police Department conducted a crash investigation.

Trooper Burnam Crash details

On August 4, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. one of our troopers was stopped on the right shoulder of I-215 West at 300 North.  A vehicle traveled off the road way to the right and struck the patrol vehicle from behind. Neither of the driver’s sustained any injuries. The driver of the other vehicle stated he looked down for a second. Salt Lake City Police handled the crash investigation.
